Sun-Kissed Moments 2023: Summer Bucket List

I recently stumbled upon a TikTok from a delightful user named Evelyn. She shared her 'Summer 2023 Bucket List,' and it encouraged me. Summer can be a challenging season to fully embrace, with its scorching heat and relentless humidity, but Evelyn's positive outlook inspired my creativity to develop my own list of things to look forward to this summer. Since Summer officially begins tomorrow, I hope these ideas bring a touch of joy to your days as well.

  1. Wear a summer anklet - add personal flair by making it yourself
  2. Make reading an event - seek out cozy or serene spots and dive into a good book
  3. Dance at 100%, especially while in the car - crank up the music and let loose
  4. Decide on a signature summer beverage - give your signature sipper a fun name (make the drink iced/cold)
  5. Paint happy rocks and hide them around town to elevate the spirit of your community
  6. Celebrate National Slurpee Day on July 11th
  7. Create a vibrant squirt gun painting - (use left over paint from rocks)
  8. Enjoy 15 blissful minutes basking in the morning sun and let your lawn sprinkler splash you. For us in Texas and Oklahoma, mornings offer the most comfortable outdoor conditions.
  9. Celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich day on August 2nd
  10. Find a new summer recipe. Here's is a link to yogurt parfaits and refreshing salad recipes my mom and I tried during a weekend together if you need ideas. Health Recipes

I recently crossed off item #2 in what I called the, "Roadside Reading Retreat." (Photos below) If you are looking for other ways to make the summer a little happier, check out my post on: 10 Hygge Ideas for Texas Summers
